The Moore County Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Sandhills Community College Small Business Center, is hosting its third session of the Lessons Learned Series for 2016 on Tuesday, August 23 from 8:00am until 900am at the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. Owning a business and being your own boss would be a dream come true for most people; which is why you want to make sure that you have double checked, even triple checked that you are following the proper procedures for opening your business. You have to be cautious of every aspect so that you are setting your business up for success. The Lessons Learned series is the perfect tool to assist you in this journey.
In the third installment of the Lesson Learned series, attendees will be treated to the lessons of how to best brand and market your business in a facilitated “Town Hall Style” session from Tom Zaleski. Zaleski owned a cabinet remodeling dealership serving local home owners and from there has created a business helping small businesses in North and South Carolina to increase their awareness in the marketplace. Additionally, he has facilitated marketing, social media and business development programs for small business centers at nine community colleges across the state of NC. Zaleski’s experience also includes into email marketing, an important tool for most small business owners today. He worked with a national email service provider to develop their solutions and local expert programs and through that process, has been able to assist many in the area perfect their email marketing presence.
“This session of Lessons Learned Series will focus on branding identity, says Lori Williams, director of the Small Business Center at the Dedman Center for Business Leadership. “When counseling with clients, the obvious struggle appears to be getting immersed into the community so that you are the one person that people think of when they have any particular need. It is essential to begin building relationships especially in a smaller community. This session will be instrumental in assisting the business community with increasing your identity in the community.”
There is no charge to attend and the event is open to the entire community – Chamber members, non Chamber members, new business owners or those considering opening a business.
